A student asked for examples of thumbnail sketches and layout sketches from past students. I threw together this assortment of good sketches from past classes.
The example above shows what I do not want for thumbnail sketches. Your sketches should give an indication of what photos, and the logo will look like. Use horizontal lines to indicate text.
When you have done many thumbnail sketches, choose three favorites and sketch them bigger and with more detail, like the images below. Include horizontal lines for body copy. Show us what the images will look like. Sketch out the logo.
